Description:In Brief:
On the Surface: This is a rarer seen Singer Roadster. This example has been likened by The Vendor to the car from the children’s tv show ‘Noddy’ due to its Yellow over Red colour scheme. Maintenance & History: Included with the vehicle are two “Book of the Singer” handbooks. With just one former keeper indicated on the V5 document and having been owned by the current vendor for the past two years, it is potentially the lowest ownership example on the market. The current MOT certificate is valid until July 2025. The Model: The Singer Roadster was first produced in 1939 but, due to World War II, production was paused and resumed afterward with several upgrades. This particular model, the 1951 4AB Roadster, is part of the penultimate iteration of the Roadster before production ceased in 1955. Singer Roadsters were direct competitors to MG’s T-series, admired for their swooping wing design and performance. Singer Roadsters were nine tax horsepower and they came in 2/4-seater configuration with this one being a 4 seater tourer. Sale Insight: The vendor’s decision to sell is due to no longer feeling comfortable driving this example. This 1951 Singer Roadster is a rare find. |
