There were two of these caravans made as prototypes, the other is in Falkirk museum. This one was the first caravan Thompsons put in the wind tunnel. Has won many first prizes at classic car shows. In the was it was used by air raid wardens.
Auctioneers notes: This 1934 Thompson Dart Caravan is incredibly rare and only 2 prototypes were made. She is in incredible condition. She has been totally restored and often seen and winning at shows being towed by that beautiful Austin Westminster, you no doubt notice the number plates are the same and so is the colour. She is to be sold without reserve and the vendor hopes that the buyer of the caravan is the same as the buyer of the Westminster. They are both quite outstanding – may be viewed strictly by appointment.
