Description:In Brief:
On the Surface: This 1965 Triumph Tiger 100 is a splendid example and it boasts a striking finish in Silver and Black. Maintenance & HIstory: The bike has been under the care of the current registered keeper for the past 5 years, as shown on the V5C registration document. Unfortuantley no history is available with this motorcycle, however, it does have a current V5C and a letter confirming the bike is on SORN. This Tiger 100 has had a remarkably modest ownership history, with just three registered owners over its 59-year lifespan. Unfortunatley there is no battery on this bike so we do not have any information on it’s running status. The Model: The Triumph Tiger 100 has a storied history, originally launched in 1939 by the renowned British motorcycle manufacturer, Triumph. Production was briefly interrupted during World War II when the factory was bombed but resumed in 1946. Over the years, the Tiger 100 evolved with several significant updates, including the introduction of telescopic forks, close-finned alloy cylinders, and eventually, swinging-arm rear suspension models in 1954. Known for its sporty performance and racing pedigree, the Tiger 100 remained a popular choice among motorcycle enthusiasts until its production ceased in 1973. Sale Insight: This motorcycle is part of a collection, with the current owner deciding to sell it to reduce the size of his collection. It represents a unique opportunity to own a piece of British motorcycling history, particularly a model revered for its performance and racing heritage. Despite the limited historical paperwork, the bike’s excellent condition and minimal ownership history make it a noteworthy addition to any classic motorcycle collection. |
