Description:The vendor purchased this car in 2016 as an unfinished restoration. The young lady who owned the car was about to lose her storage and the vendor tells us he could not resist a damsel in distress. The body had been off the chassis and the chassis had been repaired and painted. The body tub had new rear wings, floors and sills. The vendor set about building the car including rebuilding the bonnet with new panels and a full respray. All new interior, new hood and numerous new parts to complete the car. It was finally put back on the road at the beginning of 2018. Auctioneers notes: This MK3 Spitfire has the larger 1300cc engine. Has some photos of the restoration and a list of all the parts purchased plus labour for the rebuild amounts to £7009.43. Also in the file is loads of invoices and old MOTs.
