The current owner purchased the vehicle as a retirement project 2 years ago and has overseen a comprehensive restoration.

Maintenance & History: Extensive restoration work has been carried out on the body , making use of high-quality parts from Rimmer Bros, including the installation of a new boot floor pan, front and rear main floor pans, inner and outer sills, door bottoms, and front scuttle. The front wings, already replaced by the previous owner, were stripped and resprayed along with the rest of the car to it’s original colour Saffron Yellow. The Model: The Triumph Stag was introduced in June 1970, targeting the luxury convertible sports car market, where it rivaled the likes of the Mercedes-Benz R107. Equipped with electric windows, power-assisted rack and pinion steering, and servo-backed disc/drum brakes as standard, the Stag was a well-appointed vehicle of its era. Powered by a 2997cc V8 engine, it produces 145bhp and 167lbft of torque, with a reputed top speed of over 120mph. Of the 25,877 Stags produced over a seven-year production run, only 2,046 automatic models remain registered on UK roads today.

Sale Insight: This 1972 Triumph Stag, having undergone a thorough restoration with many new parts, is now offered for auction. The Vendor says it is now ready for a new owner to take on and take it to the next level.
