Lot No: 59
Year Make Model Mileage SOLD FOR
1954 Triumph TR3 93,788 (Not Warranted) £17,000.00 + buyers premium

Description:

Auctioneers Notes: The TR3 is the rugged British Sports car of the fifties. All youngsters wanted one. 2 lit engine, 95 BHP light body, cut away doors, wind in your hair and a great roar from the exhaust. Top speed well over the ton and very good performance and this car benefits from overdrive giving you 6 forward ratios. This car has been in the vendor’s family since 2007, he acquired it from his brother-in-law in 2012 and the car was then SORNed. The history file is not vast, we have a number of MOT’s the earliest one dated August ’77 which indicates that the car has only covered 6554 miles in 42 years. You have to ask, could the mileage on the speedometer 93788 be correct. There are a number of invoices for the re-trimming of the interior, new hood and side screens plus other work. This cracking little car is very useable as it is, the body work was possibly restored many years ago and could now benefit from a little TLC. It is worth noting that the number plate is original and has been valued at £2,500. I like this car – may be viewed by appointment
