History can be traced to second owner who bought the car on 15/11/1984. The MOT for June 1985 showed a mileage of 75,537 when issued.
Last MOT for June 1986 – June 1987 shows mileage of 88,257. The car was then off the road with invoices showing extensive body work 1993-1997. The restoration stalled and in 2003 the vehicle was sold to the 4th owner who kept the car in storage. The car was then bought in 2008 by the 5th owner who carried out further restoration work culminating in getting the car’s first MOT since 1986. The mileage shown on this MOT dated June 25th, 2010 was 88,878.
The history of the car from the second owner who bought the car 15/11/84 means the original owner had the car for 19 years. Pictures of the car taken in in 1985 appear to show it in particularly good condition which would indicate the mileage when the second owner bought the car was genuine.
Since the vendor purchased the car in 2011 many more thousands of pounds have been spent on the car including new loom, Koni shocks, poly bushing, retracking of chassis, new interior, tyres, roof, respray. Recon gearbox, new clutch, leather interior. Parts invoices to prove over £16,000 expenditure from when it was laid up in 1986 to 2013. She is not concours, the bonnet does have a chip in it and some micro-blistering in the paintwork but she is a lovely example.
