Description:Description from The Vendor: My late father, Dr. Bernard Weller brought the Calibra in November 1995 brand new direct from the Lance Owen showroom in Kingston-Upon-Thames, and on his passing I, his son Gavin Weller took over ownership so the car has remained in the family and continued to be driven has a general-purpose car since that time. The Calibra is original, it has never been involved in an accident or SORN, it has been serviced, MOT’d, and wear/tear maintained every year since purchase. It does come with a full-service history and is MOT’d until June 2022 when it will be due for its next service and MOT. I have had a lot of replacement parts work carried out on the car and it did have a full original colour (Red) respray in 2015 but I cannot find the receipt for it, I lost it when moving house. The latest work carried out over the past year or so is currently at a cost of over £3000 via Eden Vauxhall Dealers Re. Diagnostic Specialist work – see supplied paperwork. New Spark Plugs, Engine Gasket, timing belt, water pump, rear subframe Bushes, brake discs and pads, ignition barrel, rear brake pipe, new rear types, new wipers, new exhaust. . Also it is important to safe keep the car (engine) passcode that I have put in one of the old MOT plastic covers if you lose it a garage will charge for a new code. Current work that is required is to replace the fuel filter which may lead to replacing the fuel pipes as the mechanic has noted that the metal fuel pipe connections are reasonably corroded so could escalate into replacement fuel lines (I have always used shell or Esso etc fuel never supermarket etc) and also replace the Knock Sensor. Auctioneer’s notes: This Calibra is in very good condition, she has been in the family from new. The vendor has given a very fair and honest description, the “knock censor” he said needs replacing and that causes the engine to run unevenly when on tick-over. This V6 engine has plenty of power and gives excellent performance. She may be viewed, strictly by appointment. |
