Description:This Beetle was built in Emden in Germany and was exported to Sweden. The vendor has owned the Beetle for 5 1/2 years, it has undergone a Bare Metal restoration and during the restoration it has been fitted with a 1598cc Engine and has been fitted with Webasto Sliding Ragtop Sun Roof as an Extra, It has also fitted as standard an Eberspacher heater restored but not fitted to the fuel System, this would have been fitted for the lower temperatures in Sweden. The car has been fitted with Front Disc Brakes and a Dual Staree Master Cylinder. The original colour was L41 -Black and the vendor has changed it to VW L398 Capri Blue, he has also had the interior Re-Upholstered in as close to VW material as possible. The Bonnet & Door Panels have been replaced as have the Fenders (Wings). The electrics have been changed from 6V to 12V the wheels are standard and the Semaphores have been full restored into good working order. The Beetle has an agreed value of £18k by Adrian Flux all this can be verified by them Ref.259053089/05. The Beetle was restored by Beetle Magic in Dorchester and the Upholstery was fitted by VW Busbits West Stafford, with Bartletts at Weymouth, serviced in October 2018. During the Restoration the vendor has kept to the original specification of the year of manufacture as much as possible. He tells us its a great car to drive unfortunately he has moved and cannot keep the Beetle in the dry and undercover which a 60 year old car deserves.
