Year Make Model Mileage SOLD FOR
1973 Volkswagen Beetle Karman Convertible 92,000 (Not Warranted) £9000.00 + buyers premium

Description:

Comprehensively overhauled 4 years ago, body separated from chassis and all normal inaccessible parts and areas replaced or repaired.  New break lines all round plus new front disc calibres and rear wheel cylinders.  The car was then re-sprayed in alpine white and 4 new tyres were fitted.  The underfloor was undersealed and the vehicle had been treated with “Zibart” when new.

Engine overhauled new big ends, pistons, rings and barrels, new green heads, electronic ignition, new carburettor.  Converted to alternator and new battery fitted in December ’18.  The interior had new carpets, the speedometer was overhauled.  She comes with all the original German registration documents and receipted invoices for parts bought for the restoration.  The vendor tells us he is only selling this lovely car due to old age and his increasing disability.

Auctioneers Notes: This is a genuine Karmann convertible purchased by the vendor and his wife in 1999.  Great history files covering the period of restoration and an earlier file covering the period from ’92 – ’98.  She comes with not only the German paperwork but old V5 and V5C’s plus old MOT’s. As you can see from the photographs the hood could do with attention but is very usable, the bodywork is not concurs but is in very sound order.  She is now looking for a good home and I think this is a good investment – may be viewed by appointment.
