The reason why this jeep has come to market is that the owner sadly passed away.

Incidentally, she runs on split-rim wheels which were only fitted to the early models.  What is so good is about this example is that she has all the right bits from the grease gun under the bonnet, the shovel and the axe attached to the side plus she also has a siren, twin spare jerrycans, numerous canvass bags attached to the bodywork and the mounting for a .45 calibre machine gun and quite a rare, original radio and the mast for it is kept in a canvass holdall.  There are many other bits and pieces, some of which we have photographed and put online.

There are 2 files, one is a spare parts file and the other is the history file.  I am told that you can get all the spare parts you require from a company called Dallas Autoparts in Berkshire and there are numerous specialists in this field.  There is a lot of useful information including lub chart etc. and copies of the Jeep Club Magazine and a good number of invoices.  The Army Serial Number is 2154.  They were known in the US Army as “Willys Model MB 1/4 ton 4 x 4 Government Truck.  In the file you will also find a great number of war time memorabilia including the Yank Army Weekly, price 3 old pennies dated 1944, American Red Cross Tour of London Brochure, Membership card to the American Red Cross Eagle Club and a publication by War & Navy Department, Washington titled “A Short Guide to Great Britain” plus many more items of interest.

Technical Specification:  60 HP and in 2 wheel drive form they are capable of reaching 60 miles per hour and in 4 x 4 form it is advisable no to exceed 40 miles per hour.
