On the Surface: This 1989 Yamaha RD350 is a fine example of the once highly popular model, finished in a striking red color. The motorcycle presents well making it a real head-turner.

Maintenance & History: The bike runs, but it currently has a flat battery and struggles to idle. Despite this, it holds potential for restoration or tuning by an experienced owner. The maintenance history includes several MOT certificates dating back to 1999, a current V5 document, and a few invoices, offering a glimpse into its past care and upkeep.

The Model: In 1987, Yamaha introduced the RD350 F2, a sports motorcycle designed to succeed the RD350 YPVS. It features a 347cc two-stroke parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine, delivering an impressive 63 hp at 9,000 rpm. This power was managed through a six-speed manual gearbox with a wet multi-plate clutch, driving the rear wheel via a final chain drive. The RD350 F2 maintained the robust and exhilarating performance characteristics that Yamaha’s RD series was known for.
