Below is some information on buying at our auction, what protection we offer to customers, and what you need to know when you bid.
The purchase fee is a compulsory payment on top of the amount you successfully bid. The charges are available upon request from the office.
Payment of the purchase fee indemnifies you against any vehicle you buy at SWVA being stolen property, or subject to outstanding hire purchase payments. The purchase fee is not refundable.
A legal contract is entered into once the hammer has fallen. Payments can be made by BANK TRANSFER ONLY and must be made within 24 hours of the sale, and then you may take the vehicle away.
Private buyer’s are once again welcomed to attend our general and commerical vehicle sales. All private buyers must pay a holding deposit of £500 by either cash or card in order to get a bidding number and be eligible to bid. If successful and the deposit was paid by card then only the balance will need to be paid on the purchase, however, if the deopsit is paid via cash then the cash will be refunded instantly and the buyer will need to pay the full amount on the invoice. If unsuccessful your deposit by either card or cash will be returned.
Vehicles are sold “As Seen” which means just that; no description is implied or given and it is up to you to judge its condition and value before bidding. You should consider the mileage to be incorrect unless otherwise stated.
SWVA offers a vehicle delivery service. Please ask at the office for details.
