Description:CLICK HERE to see a compiled document of the cars history Auctioneer’s notes: How rare is this! Left hand drive Austin 850 as they are known in Portugal. The mini register confirms she was built on 12.10.59, see appendix 1 The car was exported by the factory to Portugal without any interior trim to avoid paying purchase tax. The interior trim you see today in the car, was made and fitted in Portugal. There are a number of invoices showing the car has been well looked after since coming home. You will find in the file an invoice of £2200 for a reconditioned gearbox and she comes with the Austin 7 Workshop Manual. Talking to the experts of converting a left hand drive to right hand drive is not an expensive operation. There are things to do on the car, she has had at some time new floor pans fitted, which are not, in my opinion, up to standard. She is extremely rare and first class example there values have gone through the roof and please come and view this time warp car, |
