The car was bought in secret after selling a car and promising his family he wouldn’t buy another old BMW. With plans of selling the car after a year, it’s been over 2 years now and this treasure is still receiving the love it deserves from its current owner. From road trips down to Devon to being used as a commuter when the other cars are out of action, this nostalgic 90s wagon has not let him down. The car has not needed any work to keep it running apart from a water pump and a CCV hose. The car has had a multitude of restorative works such as repair and respray to some of the body; 3 oil changes; all the cars gas struts replaced (even the desired glove box); lower chain tensioner from an M3 to ensure the longevity of the chain; new battery; dashboard bulbs replaced; super flush of the radiator and cooling system; checking of all the coolant/oil hoses and clamps; new headlight frames and the list goes on.

Honesties about current condition. The car pulls and stops incredibly for its age and mileage.  small rust spots have appeared at the bottom of the driver’s door and a small area beneath the filler cap door. The headlining inside the car is loose. There is a small crack on the front bumper (wasn’t me). These old M50 engines do tick when warm and in low revs, this is caused by one of the hydraulic lifters. Spare lifters come with the car if needed. None of these faults are major.

Comes with spares: plastic clips and grommets; sump gasket; oil; coolant; hydraulic lifter; spare refurbed wiper assembly and spare fittings.

The vendor has given a very frank and honest description.  These 2 lits BMW engines are good for half a million miles, if looked after and have had the correct oil changes etc, and this car has had all the right love and attention all his life. She has had a total of 5 owners, including the vendor, MOT’s from November ’98, mileage 32,938 plus Gov. MOT history.  She was supplied by Bates Motors (BLCHER) Ltd.  In the service book she has 14 stamps plus 3 brake fluid changes, the car’s wallet is complete, and she has a current MOT until 19.4.23.  Most importantly, she has a massive history file of invoices covering all the cars life up to November ’21.
