Description:Description from The Vendor: I bought this car as a restoration project 5 years ago, the previous owner had owned the car for many years and had given up driving due to his advancing age, many years before the car had been lightly damaged by the owner accidentally driving it into the back of his garage damaging the front grill, kinking the bonnet and breaking the headlights. At that time these cars were worth very little and parts were not widely available so the insurance company paid him out, he then bought the car back and repaired it, and then ran it for the rest of his driving life. This car in my ownership has had a full body restoration (see photos). It has its original unused medical kit and original radio which is in full working order, it has some service history and all service history in my ownership. It also has a make specific number plate MBZ 767 the old number plates are included in case the new owner wishes to return it to it’s original registration number. Auctioneer’s notes: 1985 Mercedes Benz W123 230E Auto Saloon Reg No MBZ767 owned by the vendor for the last 5 years. Sadly, this car, which is in superb condition is being sold because of serious ill health issues. A fortune has been spent on restoring this car and you will find that the vendor made a photographic record of the restoration and there are also invoices in the history file, which also contains the service book with 16 stamps, plus stamps for brake fluid and coolant She retains the original plastic Mercedes Benz Wallet. In here you can find old MOT’s. She is well equipped having a fitted factory sunroof, electric windows, 4-speed auto box and PAS. Sadly, the car has a CAT C stamped in the log book. Please bear in mind when the previous owner had a bump in his garage, the car at that time would have only been worth a few hundred pounds, therefore, it is quite logical for the insurance company to write it off. This car is truly quite exceptional, being sold in very sad circumstances. May be viewed, strictly by appointment. P.S. The car does come with a substantial service and MOT history and we believe the mileage is to be correct, however, due to some gaps we have decided not to warrant the mileage. |
