Description:Description from The Vendor: Due to losing my covered storage area I’m having to let go of a few classics from my private collection including this lovely old Mercedes C123 280 CE Coupe. I’ve really enjoyed owning this one and used it fairly regularly, starts 1st time every time and once up to temperature (needs a little encouragement to idle when cold) it runs & drives great. Had a Nardi style Wood rim steering wheel fitted (original is included) and an inexpensive but charming little retro styled Bluetooth stereo fitted with some upgraded speakers all round. Had it Mot’d in 2021 even though it’s over 40 years old so Tax & Mot exempt just to make sure it was a safe & roadworthy car to drive my family around in and after minimal work it passed no problem. A couple of years before it had over £3000 spent on a mechanical overhaul at Skinners of Rye (invoice included in the file), also a recent-ish full respray which polishes up lovely. Mint condition, Refurbed 14” Mexican Hat Alloys with good tyres, good chrome all round, beautiful cream leather interior, just a lovely slice of 70’s charm and a pleasure to drive. Sad to let this one go but needs must, worst areas are the scuttle panel is pickled and the main heater doesn’t work (the aux AC fan that uses the two middle vents does). Lovely, affordable daily driver classic and arguably the best value 70’s German Coupe on the market today. |
