Description:Auctioneer’s notes: This is well-presented example of the flagship Mk3 Golf, which has been mechanically refurbished using OEM parts. Under the bonnet is the 2.8-litre VR6 engine, which sends around 174bhp to the front wheels via the four-speed automatic transmission. This Mk3 VR6 was specified in Satin Silver, over a dark blue fabric-trimmed interior with patterned seat inserts. Its resprayed Satin Silver paintwork is in great condition with only a few minor imperfections. Inside, the upholstery is reported to be original, and presents with some age-related fading. A new headlining was fitted in 2022. This Volkswagen Golf (Mk3) VR6 is a nice example of the marque’s former flagship vehicle, which remains largely unmodified. Now fresh from a recent service at around 65,400 miles and with a new MOT it would make an entirely usable and sporting modern classic for a Volkswagen enthusiast. |
