Lot No: 47
Year Make Model Mileage SOLD FOR
1951 Wolseley 6/80 47,104 (Not Warranted) £6,600 + buyers premium

Description:

Description from The Vendor:

This Wolseley was found in a shed in From 1964 till the previous owner found it and partly restored it. 4 new wings put on and a bare metal respray was done, new sills and a lot of work was done. Engine was rebuilt and rad was done. Sadly he passed away before the work was complete. I bought the car from his estate for £9000 and did the rest of the work some 3 years ago to what it is now. 1 full service was carried out, new oils, spark plugs and the gearbox and axle oil. I don’t know how long it was off the road for.

Auctioneer’s notes:

This is a good example of a Wolseley 6/80. Back in the day, they were used by the Police force and this car gives a nod to that service with the addition of two police plaques in the boot which can be added to the car for show and an electronic bell located on the front bumper.
