Mercedes 508D Camper. First registered in 1988. Ex Luftwaffe ambulance converted late 90’s in Germany. Left hand drive. This Mercedes Benz 508 D LHD was registered new on 4th June 1985 to the German military. This Mercedes remained in the military until 18/02/99 when it was released with a mileage of approx. 12,650. It was then purchased by a graphic designer from Bavaria who had the conversion to camper van carried out soon after purchase. It was fully registered as a camper van with the German authorities and we understand this involves a full inspection and a certificate to be issued. We have this certificate in the history file that shows all the stamps for the by-annual inspections that were required in Germany.
