1960 Austin Healey 100/6 Unknown ££13,500 + buyers premium

Description:

Auctioneer’s notes:

This Austin Healey 100/6 is sold as a project to be restored.  She has interesting provenance i.e. a copy of the continuation buff log book dated 10.4.68 which shows that the first name in the log book was a doctor in September 1962 and the deceased owned her from 06.05.1966.  It also declares that the car was imported and we are pretty certain that she originally was a RH drive car.  The car, according to the deceased vendor’s brother, whose letter is on file, shows that a number of modifications were undertaken to improve the performance.  She has a 12 port cylinder head, a later Healey 3000 gear box with O/D and he thinks she has the larger SU Carbs

and we are told that she has a works hard top and that she was extensively rallied in the seventies, photographs are on file.  In 1980 the car was put into dry storage, why? because he had purchased a Healey 100/4 which he preferred, and there she stayed for 41 years until we collected her.

She comes with 2 new spare front wings and 5 wire wheels plus some old MOT’s, V5 and spare keys.  She is not a rust bucket and and will be  sold without reserve – a great project –  May be viewed, strictly by appointment.
