Description:Auctioneer’s notes: This Healey Sprite would be a fantastic mid-level restoration project for any classic car enthusiast. The car was purchased by The Vendor in September 1984 and has been garaged for the majority of his ownership. In 1989, the car underwent a complete engine out respray along with other work such as new front wings, a new clutch plate fitted, wire wheels stove enameled, and some patch welding. In 2005, the car was wax oiled underneath and converted to an unleaded head. The car is now being sold as a non-runner. The clutch slave cylinder has failed, and the battery needs to be replaced. The exhaust is bandaged and the hood is taped up. The car also needs some general attention in other areas. Despite its current condition, this 1970 Austin Healey Sprite is a solid project car that could be easily restored to its former glory. The car comes with 2 tonneau covers, 2 hood covers, and the original steering wheel. This would be a great opportunity for someone who is looking for a classic sports car to restore.
