On the Surface: This 1962 Hillman Super Minx presents itself in a charming Pale Green exterior, completed with a White roof and over a Pale Green Leather interior with white piping.

Maintenance & History: Owned by The Vendor for the past 3 years, this Super Minx comes with a decent history file. The comprehensive history file includes old MOT certificates dating back to 1985 as well as invoices totaling over £2,000. Additionally, assorted documentation, including Hillman Minx books, an original Hillman Super Minx brochure, and ‘Coventry Spires’ magazines.

The Model: The Hillman Super Minx is a great example of family cars from the 60’s. Introduced first in October 1961 and produced by Hillman from 1961 to 1967, it represented a pivotal expansion for Rootes, particularly within the upper echelons of the family car market. Originally conceived to potentially replace the standard Minx, its larger size led to it complementing the original Minx rather than taking over from its predecessor. Notably, the Super Minx range expanded with the introduction of an estate car in May 1962 and a two-door convertible in June 1962, albeit the latter saw limited sales, with production ceasing in June 1964.

Sale Insight: This 1962 Hillman Super Minx presents an opportunity to get on the classic ladder with this beautiful condition Super Minx.
