Jaguar E Type 2+2 Coupe 1970

Description:

The vendor purchased this vehicle in 1976 from Swanmore Garages in Christchurch Road, Bournemouth. He ran the car for a couple of years and with the intention of restoring it some parts were re-chromed, new carpets were made and headlining was re done.
The vendor’s brother who is a mechanic was to carry out most of the work with the vendor but unfortunately he fell ill and the car was subsequently stored in his mothers garage for 40 years untouched until it was entered into our auction.
The previous owner had the vehicle sprayed Silver Grey but the original colour was Sable with the matching interior as it is in Cinnamon. It was intended to have the vehicle re sprayed back to its original colour.
Included are 3 MOT’s from 1975 to 1977 before the car was laid up and an old style logbook issued in 1976 to the vendor. Due to the fact the vehicle has been off the road for so long, sites such as HPI etc will not recognise the registration number. The purchaser will need to apply for a new logbook in order to get the vehicle back onto DVLA’s records.
