1964 Jaguar S Type 3.4 Manual 69,340 (Not Warranted) £10,100.00 + buyers premium

Description:

This Jaguar S Type manufactured 16th December 1964 (UK specification), was exported to South Africa on 4th January 1965. It was purchased by a Mr F G Licence in Durban on 4th February 1965. The vehicle was virtually unused covering a few thousand miles until it was sold to Mr Lundy on 13/07/1967. It was then regularly used until 1999 when Mr Liptrot bought it, he stated that it had 65,000 miles on the clock at this point but there is no written evidence of this. He went on to spend a lot of money on the car including having paintwork and engine work done. He never got the car running properly so ti stood from 2000 until 2017. It was then that the vendor bought the car and imported it into the UK. Once in the UK it was recommissioned, most rubbers had perished and needed to be replaced. The brakes were overhauled with new cylinders and pads, the clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder was replaced. The twin SU carburettors were rebuilt and a new petrol pump was fitted. New tyres were fitted, the cylinder head cam shafts were removed and new shims were fitted for the valve clearances. The vendor states the engine runs at 40psi when warm. The engine condition, unworn pedal rubbers, seats and verbal history all suggest the mileage is genuine however we cannot warrant it due to the lack of history.
Comes with invoices dating back to its original purchase and Jaguar Warranty, up to today. All original handbooks and workshop manuals.
