The original owner of this vehicle was the American manager of a petroleum company who covered the majority of the current mileage indicated during his ownership. The second private registered keeper has owned the vehicle for 28 years during which time it has been cherished, taxed and MOT tested annually, garaged when not in use and driven just approximately 11,000 miles ( original MOT certificates from 1993 to 2022 contained in the history file confirm the low annual mileage in the past 28 years). The vehicle includes the original leather-bound file of driver’s documents and two sets of spare keys. This vehicle is in excellent condition inside and out and drives superbly.

Jaguar introduced the XJ 40 in 1986 as the second generation XJ replacing the series 111. The XJ40’s styling is more angular than it’s predecessors and the range featured technological advances including an electronic instrument cluster. Finished off in Artic Blue this is the top of the range Sovereign benefitted from leather upholstery, alloy wheels, burr walnut trim, electric sunroof, electric windows/seats, anti lock brakes, air conditioning, cruise control, headlamp washers, six-speaker sound system and stainless steel window surrounds.

This is an incredibly fine example of a 3.6 lit Jaguar Sovereign.  As the vendor says, being a Sovereign she has every extra possible as standard.  She is sold with a 12 months MOT and this delightful car may be viewed, strictly by appointment
