Description:Auctioneer’s notes: This lovely Series 1 XJ6 was built in the UK in 1970 and then dispatched to South Africa in January 1971. The car then looks to have taken a trip to mainland Europe in 1981 being used in Nice and Saint Tropez before being exported back to South Africa in January 1993. After a trip abroad the car was re-imported into the UK in June 2017 and was stored from then until registered in August 2019. The car comes with full service history from new, with 18 stamps on display in the book between 1971 and 2019. We believe the mileage believed to be incorrect on the service dated 11/11/1991, however, the mileage remains warranted at buyers discretion. The car was subject to Category S total loss in 2019 due to a small amount of damage to the car’s headlight and surround (information available in history file). The car also comes with a Jaguar Heritage certificate, original handbooks and wallet, and photographic history of the car leaving South Africa.
