Registered new to its first owner in Ringwood by Majestic Garages, Bournemouth.  The car subsequently passed to well-known Newbury saddler Peter Vincent during whose ownership it carried his cherished number PTV 7.   The car returned to its original Bournemouth registration afterwards.

Currently showing just over 131,000 miles and has been in the same hands for the past 11 years.  MOT’d until February 2021 but could now benefit from further improvement.   The vendor is selling the car due to impending retirement making it unlikely that he can continue to do this in addition to his other three classics.

It has been in daily use by the vendor’s wife for over ten years as well as serving as their long-distance car and have enjoyed 65,000 miles in it.

Relatively free from corrosion, a small but tricky welding repair was competently carried out this February and this represents the first time the car has needed such repair.   No filler or paint rectification has yet been carried out to the vendor’s knowledge.

The almost-obligatory cylinder head work at around 110,000 miles for one of these has been carried out by an MB specialist and has proved completely satisfactory. Although interim ownership have not documented much in the way of service history there is early main dealer evidence of maintenance and a large and expensive wad of bills covering the past few years.   To make ownership a little easier, the car is in low specification – no ABS, no air-con, manual windows and it is pre-cat.
