Description:Description from The Vendor: Reason for purchase: When I was 20 years old I worked for a company who made the bodies for a Formula One racing team. One day the owner of the F1 team, John Surtees, visited in his brand new Mercedes 380 SLin gold and I vowed that one day I would own one. 24 years later I actually purchased this lovely car and loved it. I have enjoyed the Mercedes for the last 22 1/2 years, but recently have not done very many miles so it is sadly time for someone else to enjoy driving this superb car. The history of the car is in the folder from January 1982 to date. The following items have been replaced in the last 12 months; Fuel pump – exhaust back box – rotor arm – ignition lead set – distributor cap – spark plugs – ignition coil – battery – throttle linkage ball sockets – fuel accumulator. There is a hard top in a bespoke powder-coated frame included which can be collected from the Vendor, buyer is to negotiate this direct with the Vendor. |
