On the Surface: This 1998 Mercedes-Benz C240 Elegance was first registered on the 28th of March 1998, this luxurious saloon boasts a distinctive green/black metallic finish paired with a full beige leather interior. Maintenance: Well cared for throughout its existence, this Mercedes-Benz has transitioned through the hands of 5 keepers. The Model: In October 1986, three years into the Mercedes-Benz 190 (W201) production, efforts commenced on its successor. Design work began in 1987, and the final design was chosen in 1989. Rough prototypes were tested in 1989, and the first production design prototypes underwent trials in 1990. The first generation W202 C-Class was introduced in May 1993, replacing the 190. The initial C-Class (W202) saloon rolled off the assembly line on June 1, 1993. It served as Mercedes’ entry-level model until 1997 when the A-Class was launched.
