Description:On the Surface: This 1998 silver Mercedes-Benz SLK 230 looks amazing and it’s in great condition! Finished in silver with only 73,000 miles on the clock, it’s a lovely low mileage and well kept example. Maintenance: The car comes with all the original Mercedes-Benz manuals and a service book with 8 stamps, showing it’s been well taken care of. The last service was done in 2018 and so not too far in the past. History: The car is accompanied by a variety of paperwork including invoices that add up to around £750 for general work and upkeeep and also the sales invoice from when The Vendor purchased the car in 2017 for £2,995. It’s only had three owners in its 25-year life and from what we can tell by the history it has been well maintained and cared for. The Model: The R170 SLK was Mercedes-Benz’s first compact roadster from 1996 to 2004, paying homage to the 1950s 190SL. It kept things retro with a 94-inch wheelbase and brought back the four-cylinder engine. Its design started in the ’90s and was shown off in 1996. A facelift in 2000 freshened up the look and upgraded the engines. Sale Insight: This 1998 SLK 230 is a gem! With its low mileage, great condition, and a touch of automotive history, it’s a classic Benz that would make a great starter classic. |
