Description:Description from The Vendor: This car left the factory in 1972 as a 1800cc twin carb with a manual gearbox and overdrive in Teal Blue and Tan interior, as you see it Today. Sometime later it had a colour change to black, however, in 2012/13 the car was taken into Riverside Garage where it underwent a complete strip down with new parts being fitted including wings, front and rear interior, hood and carpets. Engine reconditioning also took place. After the car had this work done, she returned to her original colour of Teal Blue. Due to ill health, the car had to be put away for 9 years until last year when it was brought out of hiding and recommissioned to roadworthiness. The car is now looking for it’s next adventure with it’s new owner.
Auctioneer’s notes: This is an excellent example of the very popular sports roadster. It is obvious that she has undergone a very comprehensive restoration. The paperwork, however, is very thin on the ground. See Appendix 1 and 2. The invoices mentioned in Appendix 1 and Appendix 2 come to a total of Euros 4863 and the other one in the file is a UK one for brake overhauls for £135. She has a very good spec, alloy wheels, leather upholstery, overdrive and a Moto-Lita steering wheel. Do not forget to book your slot for this great car. |
