Description:Auctioneer’s notes: This is a rarer seen MG Midget 1500. It is the rubber bumper model, which were produced with these bumpers to meet US federal regulations. These later Midgets also have the larger 1493cc Standard SC engine from the Triumph Spitfire, pushing it from 0-60 a whole second quicker than the earlier 1275cc models. This particular Midget has been owned by the same vendor for nearly 30 years, and it has been well-maintained throughout its life. It comes with the original Leyland Cars bookpack, which includes the original passport to service. The passport to service is stamped 22 times between 1978 and 2018, which verifies the mileage of 77,121. This Midget is a fantastic starter classic. It is also a car with great history, and it would be a welcome addition to any MG collector’s garage. |
