Description:Originally bought and used by Lancashire Police Force, ca 1938. The car was bought by a Canadian Serviceman in 1945 who shipped it to Canada. It stayed there and in the USA until 2016 when it was repatriated to the UK and sold at Auction. I bought the car from Sussex Sportscars of Lewis. In my ownership the wiring loom was tidied up and various bulbs/horn made good. The rev counter and time clock replaced (the original is with the car) and a period police type spotlight fitted. The original registration was CTF 921 It appears in Andrea Green’s book “MG’s on Patrol”. This identity has been certified by the MG Owners Club (all in the paperwork) Auctioneers Notes: The reason why this excellent example of a pre war MGTA, which is 83 years young, is because the vendor, who lives in Bristol, has lost his garage due to re-development. |
