Description:This NSU was originally a UK car reg number LPJ796K. It was first registered on 21-06-1972 and was imported to Ireland in 1993. Originally white, the vehicle was red when it was purchased by NSU specialist Jim Sullivan. It was not running and was in poor condition. Jim took the car completely apart and rebuilt the engine, transmission, suspension etc over a number of years. There is a large photo file of the body restoration in which the car was sprayed back to its original white with two new stainless steel bumpers. Carpets and upholstery were also replaced. The vehicle retains its original Blaupunkt radio and electric aerial. The vendor purchased the vehicle from Jim a number of years ago as he is now in his 80’s and is downsizing his collection, he told us he never got around to using it much and the car ended up laid up for long periods of time and the brakes seized up. The car was recently sent back to Jim in Dublin who fitted new handbrake cables, front calipers and pads and rear shoes.
