Description:The vendor tells us he has been the proud owner of this Porsche since 1982, that’s nearly 40 years! He states he has cared for it like a baby and it has always given him the greatest memories. Included in the book pack is a service book containing 10 stamps (all specialist) plus the car was treated to an engine overhaul at 107,000 miles by Porsche specialists HP Motors at a cost of £2889.12 (bills included). Auctioneers Notes: It is so rare to find an iconic sports car such as this 3 litre Carrera which has been in the hands of the last owner (the vendor) since 1982 – four owners in total – The bodywork and interior of this cracking car, as far as we are able to ascertain, is all original apart from the bonnet (front) which was damaged by vandals some 20 odd years ago so it had to be re-sprayed. The service book has 10 service stamps, Porsche Main Agent or Porsche Specialists, last service stamp was at 107,494 miles, plus invoices from ’94 to September ’17, mileage 113,594. These invoices are for servicing and MOT’s, it includes an invoices dated July ’13 for £2889.12 for part re-build of the engine and another invoices at the same time for £528.00 for new valve guides, refacing 12 valves and grinding in – mileage 112,595. She is a delightful car and is on our premises and may be viewed by appointment. |
