The Nightfire Red 1275cc Rover Mini Mayfair 2-door saloon with an elegant walnut dashboard was purchased 25 years ago by its present lady owner in June 1997, it was first registered to another lady owner in January 1996. It had recorded just less than 7600 miles before being acquired by the current owner and its warranted mileage is now just over 69,700 miles. Throughout its current ownership it has been used as the second family car and has always been garaged. It has been serviced annually and other work carried out as required. A file is held documenting all this work throughout its life together with the original Rover folder containing the Owner’s Handbook and supporting booklets.
On acquisition in 1997, the Mini was promptly named “Rosie”. Rosie has provided
“Mini adventures” to grandchildren, other family members and friends alike. She has braved snow, hail and thunderstorms, splashed through puddles with spray over the roof, slide down icy hills and roared up the same. Having regularly commuted into and out of Oxford from 1997 to 2007, Rosie also appears in photo albums throughout the world. As a British icon It has been snapped by myriads of foreign visitors when Rosie was inevitably held up by the traffic lights at the Martyrs Memorial by the Randolph Hotel. A location well known to all followers of the Morse and Lewis TV programmes.
The hope is that Rosie will be bought by someone who will get as much fun and enjoyment from her as she has brought to the current owner.

1996 Rover Mini Mayfair “Rosie is unequaled, she is a delightful little car and what I love about this car is its originality.  Apart from new sills, what mini has not had them replaced, the paintworks is bright and very original, I mark it 9 out of 10.  There are a few little blemishes.  She comes with the original service pack and the service history book has 4 stamps.  The best part is the file of invoices from 1997 to 2022, it is massive!  It must be 2” thick.  What a great opportunity to acquire this unique mini – having had just 2 owners and low mileage just over 69,000.  As a matter of interest, the 1275 minis produce 52 bhp so they are quite nippy.  Please ring and book your slot.
