When I met the vendor, a charming gentleman and his wife on Sunday morning, it was a beautiful sunny day and there standing in the drive was the best Sunbeam Alpine I have ever seen. She is finished in bright red, black trim with red piping and sits on wire wheels. The car is truly superb. She is fitted with overdrive, a new mohair hood and tonneau cover. Sadly, the car has come to the market due to the ill health of the vendor. Please note THE CAR HAS HAD ONLY ONE OWNER UNTIL THE VENDOR PURCHASED HER IN APRIL THIS YEAR. She comes with old V5’s and V5c, photocopy of the original logbook plus correspondence with the DVLA, original root service pack, workshop manual, old parts catalogues, lub chart, petrol rationing book, old MOT’s, certified copy from the factory Sunbeam Alpine register.
History File – handwritten log sheets by the first owner from the 2nd August, 1969, mileage 8738 to May ’95 mileage 124,600 totalling 6 sheets. The car undertook a complete restoration between 2012 and 2015, all the bills are in the file, totalling £12,498, which included new clutch, new wiring looms, bare metal re-spray, new interior including seats, carpets etc, new hood, major restoration of the engine. The vendor has spent a further £3131 on converting the cylinder head to unleaded fuel, electronic ignition, fitting of safety belts and new tonneau etc. All bills in the history file.

Auctioneer’s notes – having examined all the paperwork of this beautiful car, I am certain that the mileage of 126,390 is correct. Very rare, to find a car of this age which had one owner until April this year
