Description:Auctioneer’s notes: This 1960 Sunbeam Rapier Three-Position Convertible is 61 years old and benefits from an earlier restoration, and she still looks fresh. The interior is excellent, good dashboard and seats, carpets are new and the hood looks in perfect order The door caps are not original and if she were my car I would put the original door caps back. She even has her own toolkit built in the boot behind the spare wheel and she has the original, correct Ace wheel trims. These cars are really like a 4 seater sports convertible, she has overdrive on 3rd and top and these series threes have an alloyd cylinder head with 8 ports giving 78 BHP (the MGA 1500 produce 68 BHP), this gives a top speed of over 90 miles per hour, and you have disc brakes on the series 3 on the front and this car benefits from a servo.
