I always wanted to own a Triumph 2500 estate car ever since I first saw them in the 1970s and now I have!  I thoroughly enjoyed the experience but now I have to dispose of her due to my partner’s health problems.  The car has been fun to drive, but practical, and attracts lots of attention.  Once warmed up it drives well but is a bit sluggish when cold.  I understand that only about 600 Triumph 2500S estates with manual transmission were built, so this must be a rare bird indeed by now.  It has 4 forward gears plus correctly working O/D on 3^rd & 4^th.  A stainless steel exhaust was fitted by the previous owner.  The Tahiti Blue bodywork and chassis are sound but there are some cosmetics to attend to.  The beige upholstery is all good, as are the carpets and headlining.  The choke control doesn’t lock in the out position and I resorted to clothes pegs as a temporary measure!  The car is fitted with a TOAD immobiliser and alarm.  The mileage at the time of writing is 1043.  The earliest MOT certificate present was issued in 1996 and shows the mileage as 63772, so it is assumed it has been around the clock.  The last MOT certificate present, prior to the current one, was issued in February 2018 and that shows the mileage as 97936.  The current MOT expires 1^st March 2023 with no advisories.

This is a good example of a 2500 S Estate which came to us from the I.o.W.  She comes with spare keys, various invoices and old MOT’s.  For the technically minded, she has a super smooth straight-six twin-carb engine producing 106 BHP driving through a manual gearbox with overdrive. Plenty of power and she will cruise all day long at the permitted 70 mph on English motorways.  These Estates with manual gearbox and overdrive are very rare.  She may be viewed, strictly by appointment.
