Description:Description from The Vendor: This a 1938 Vauxhall 10 Saloon which has been owned by myself for three years now. The car has a new MOT until July next year, new brakes, a new fuel pump, a new battery and new carpets and interior. The is car has been used in the brand new TV drama series ‘Foyle’s War’ set just after the second world war. She has been looked after and she drives well.
Auctioneer’s notes: This car shows that she has been lovingly looked after and she presents well. Excellent interior and you will notice from the photographs that she is very clean under the bonnet. These 10 HP Vauxhalls were made between 1937 – 1947 and they were the first British Car to have a Unitary Construction Body and under the bonnet you will find a 4cl OHV of 1203 cc producing 35 BHP. These cars are happy to cruise at 45 – 50 miles per hour. In the file you will find a wiring diagram, a letter from the Vauxhall Owners Club, Pitman’s Book of the Vauxhall 10 and 12 and Wyvern old V5s and MOT’s plus a good number of invoices. This charming car can be viewed, strictly by appointment. |
