The Rapier was first produced in 1955 and ran on until 1976. They were good rally cars and were driven by Graham Hill and Ivor Bueb to name a few. This car offered for sale is a series 4 and is fitted with a series 5 engine, this was an optional extra, letter in history file. 1724cc engine gives 91bhp top speed just short of a ton and 0-60 in 14.1 seconds. This is a great starter classic, finished in silver with black trim. History file contains old tax discs, 11 old MOTs and a good file of invoices which indicate that the car has been well maintained in recent years, also comes with loads of reference books and articles on Sunbeam rapiers.
