Austin 12 1928

By 3 February 2014 No Comments

The Austin 12 was introduced in 1921 and this fantastic Clifton Tourer benefits from the larger 1926 cc engine producing 27 BHP. These cars have much greater torque than the BHP suggests. Great fun on the country roads, a possible wedding car? As the pictures show she has been sympathetically restored and re-trimmed in blue leather. She sits on new tyres and comes with, as new, side screens and soft top. Mechanically, we are told, she is in good working order and she recently had a new radiator core in February ’10 for £734.37. Although the history file is not large, there is another bill for £1470.16 in 2013 for general maintenance and re-commisioning It is sad to see this car for sale again as it was only recently purchased, but circumstances have changed. I can only add for the benefit of the new owner.
