Owned by The Vendor for the past 9 years, this TR6 has clearly been cherished and maintained. This example is offered with a fantastic history file, which includes invoices for servicing, maintenance,and remedial work completed throughout its life, MOT certificates dating back as far as 1981. The paperwork is complemented by a Rimmer Bros TR6 parts catalogue, a TR Action magazine from the TR Register, and a TR5–TR250–TR6 Owner’s Workshop Manual.

The Model:

The Triumph TR6 was officially introduced in January 1969, with production beginning several months earlier. The first example rolled off the line on 19 September 1968, with early cars (to 28 November 1968) carrying carburetted engines under CC commission numbers. From that date, the more powerful petrol-injected CP models were produced alongside them. Built on a traditional body-on-frame chassis with four-wheel independent suspension, front disc brakes, and rear drums, the TR6 combined robust engineering with handsome styling. Between 1968 and 1976, a total of 91,850 TR6s were produced — 83,480 of which were exported, leaving only 8,370 for the home UK market, making British-supplied cars relatively scarce.
