An extremely tidy and very useable example of a manual XJS-C, this car presents in simply fantastic condition both inside and out. Finished in striking Steel Sapphire Blue with a Black roof and beautifully contrasting Savile Grey leather interior, it appears as a top-notch example. Accompanied by two sets of keys and MOT'd until May 2026, this example stands out as a cherished, low-usage classic that's ready to be enjoyed.
With just three former keepers, The Vendor purchased this XJS-C in 2017 for £9,350. The car has covered just 414 miles in the last eight years and dry stored in a garage while not in use. This example is accompanied by a substantial history file, including; Organised invoices in date order, MOT certificates dating back to 1998, The original Jaguar bookpack, containing the Owner's Guide, UK Road Map, XJS/XJS-C handbook and Service Record & Warranty booklet. The Service Record booklet features 29 stamped services, ranging from the first in 1986 at 1,081 miles to the most recent at 58,033 miles in 2013. This history proves the current mileage of 61,500 miles as genuine.
Meticulously cared for by The Vender over the past eight years, this XJS-C has benefited from regular maintenance and short drives to keep all mechanical components in good health. Notable maintenance highlights include:
Introduced in 1983, the XJ-SC 3.6 featured Jaguar’s new AJ6 straight-six engine and early models benefitted from the now desirable Getrag 265 manual 5 speed gearbox. A Targa-style configuration, it sported removable roof panels over the front seats and a folding rear hood section. Of the 5,013 Cabriolets built between 1982 and 1988, only approximately 1,598 were Right Hand Drive. Today, just 100 remain registered on UK roads, making this a truly scarce model.
This 1986 Jaguar XJS-C 3.6 is a rare opportunity to acquire a lovingly maintained and highly original manual example of Jaguar’s XJS. A fine addition to any collection or a distinguished classic to be driven and admired.
