The Series III Morris Minor 1000, introduced in 1956, marked the final and most refined development of Alec Issigonis’ iconic design. Equipped with the 948cc A-Series engine (later enlarged to 1098cc), it offered smoother running and improved performance over earlier versions. Updates included a one-piece curved windscreen, larger rear window, and modern flashing indicators in place of the traditional semaphore arms. Comfort was also enhanced with improved trim and heating.
