This striking 1975 Lancia Fulvia 1.3 S Coupé is finished in an eye-catching Black and Yellow 'Novara Corse' livery, complemented by black half-leather bucket seats with OMP harnesses. Presented with a rally look, it features a GP4 exhaust system, competition seats and alloy wheels fitted with Pirelli P4 tyres. In The Vendor’s 4-year ownership it has also benefitted from attention to cosmetics, including a roof respray following removal of chequered vinyl, along with fresh paint to the boot and front wing. A new carpet set completes the interior presentation.
First registered in September 1975, this Fulvia was used in Italy for historic rallies during 2008/09, wearing its current 'Novara Corse' livery — a reference to a local Italian car club with a strong rallying interest, rather than a professional team. It was imported to the UK in early 2014, where it was sold at an Autosport Show Auction, described as “competition prepared and ready for the Monte Carlo Historique.” The first UK keeper, Robin Wall of Maidstone, successfully secured road registration with an age-related plate by June 2014, with the car showing just 22,736 km at MOT the previous April. His ownership saw relatively little mileage but included notable mechanical and structural improvements. By the time of its next MOT in May 2016, the odometer read just 22,943 km. The Vendor acquired the car around four years ago and has since covered approximately 8,000 miles, enjoying it regularly while maintaining it appropriately.
Prior to its import into the UK in 2014, the car was reported to have received an engine and gearbox rebuild, with a quoted figure of 95bhp – a strong output for a 1.3 Fulvia, suggesting a modest level of tuning. Since then, documented works include a brake overhaul with rebuilt calipers, braided hoses and new pads, plus chassis repairs comprising replacement inner and outer sills, a new front lower wing section, and subframe mounting work. More recently, the car has seen further upkeep under the vendor, including replacement driveshaft boots, a rebuilt starter motor, and a service just 300 miles ago with fresh oil, brake fluid and new plugs.
Introduced in 1965, the Fulvia Coupé quickly built a reputation as one of the finest handling small cars of its era. Its narrow-angle V4 engine, front wheel drive chassis and delicate steering made it a formidable competition car, with Fulvias dominating international rallies in the late 1960s and culminating in Lancia's 1972 International Rally Championship victory. The 1.3 S variant offered lively performance with excellent balance and today Fulvia's remain highly regarded for their charm, usability and motorsport pedigree.
This Fulvia 1.3 S Coupé stands out with its competition specification, purposeful upgrades and distinctive livery, all supported by a history of careful upkeep and selective improvements. This example is well-prepared to deliver the engaging driving experience that has made the Fulvia a legend.
