A smart, low-mileage example of the increasingly rare Peugeot 306 Roland Garros, finished in its signature Roland Garros Green complemented by a Cream half-leather interior. The car presents well throughout and retains the distinctive styling touches that made this limited edition one of the most desirable 306 variants of its time.
Originally purchased new by Britt Allcroft, the television presenter and producer best known for creating the TV series of Thomas the Tank Engine. It has had five former keepers and has been in the ownership of The Vendor for the past year. The accompanying comprehensive history file includes old MOT certificates dating back to 1999, letters verifying Mrs Allcroft’s ownership, a wealth of invoices for servicing and parts and the original Peugeot bookpack containing the owner’s handbooks and stamped service book — the latter showing five service entries between 1995 and 1999, up to 22,921 miles. This example has been diligently maintained over the years and benefits from a recent cambelt change just 600 miles ago. It comes with an MOT valid until February 2026, and the current mileage of 56,616 is warranted as genuine thanks to the history on file.
Launched as a celebration of Peugeot’s long-standing partnership with the French Open tennis tournament, the Roland Garros edition combined the 306’s platform with a higher specification and unique styling cues. These included exclusive metallic green paint, colour-matched detailing, part-leather upholstery, alloy wheels and special badging, marking it out as a particularly stylish small car of the 1990s.
A charming and well-documented survivor of Peugeot’s popular Roland Garros special edition, further enhanced by its connection to a notable first owner. With low mileage and excellent provenance, this example would make a fine addition to any collection of modern classics or serve as a distinctive and enjoyable everyday classic.
