A lovely example of the very scarce Mk III Zephyr 6 Farnham Estate, finished in elegant Imperial Maroon with a Grey Roof over a smart two-tone grey interior. Owned by The Vendor for the past four years, this fine example presents beautifully and has clearly benefitted from careful, considered ownership. The car features the desirable four-speed floor-mounted gearbox, along with twin carburettors and a six-branch exhaust manifold.
Accompanied by a history file containing a collection of invoices, a Zephyr 4 & 6 Owner’s Handbook, and an RAC Guide for the Zephyr 6. The Vendor’s long-term care and light, fair-weather use have helped preserve its strong mechanical condition and attractive appearance. Since 2021, the Zephyr has been the subject of a rolling renovation, receiving regular attention and light use only—never taken out in the rain. In 2021, the differential oil seal, clutch, and master cylinder were replaced. The carburettors were re-jetted on a rolling road in November 2024 to ensure correct fuelling throughout the rev range, which is restricted to 4000rpm. Further cosmetic and interior improvements include new Aldridge door panels fitted in September 2024 and front seat covers (also Aldridge) installed in July 2025.
Built by Abbott of Farnham between 1962 and 1966, the Zephyr 6 Estate represented Ford’s most luxurious and capable family car of the era. With only 1,632 examples manufactured for the home market, the Mk III Farnham Estate is a rare sight today.
Rare, well cared for and sympathetically improved, BNT 336B stands as an excellent example of the seldom-seen Zephyr 6 Farnham Estate. With tasteful upgrades, quality interior refurbishment and a documented history of upkeep, this handsome classic is ready to be enjoyed and admired—an opportunity to acquire one of the more exclusive estates of the 1960s.
