Maintenance & Condition:

The vehicle has been off the road since approximately 1990 and now presents as a full restoration project. It was partially prepared for cosmetic work in 2015, with the intention of repainting the sides, though this was never completed due to the owner’s ill health. The engine is currently seized and the car will require a full restoration. The car is believed to be complete, with key components - including the supercharger system - present within the vehicle.

The Model:

Produced between 1983 and 1984, the Lancia Beta Volumex (VX) was a distinctive high-performance version of the Beta range, powered by a 2.0-litre supercharged engine producing approximately 135 bhp and 200–210 Nm of torque. Unlike turbocharged contemporaries, the VX utilised a Roots-type supercharger, delivering immediate throttle response and a unique driving character. Available in Coupé, HPE, and Trevi forms, the Volumex models are identifiable by features such as a bonnet bulge and subtle aerodynamic enhancements. Today, they are regarded as one of the more unusual and collectible Italian performance cars of the era.
